Claudia Hoppe

After completing a goldsmith apprenticeship, Claudia Hoppe pursued studies in jewellery and product design at the University of Applied Arts in Düsseldorf, Germany, and at Escola Massana in Barcelona, Spain. In 2003, she opened her own workshop in Düsseldorf, focusing on crafting jewellery for the wrist. A decade later, she returned to her studies, this time exploring sculpture and installation at the PXL-MAD School of Arts in Belgium, where she now also teaches part-time.

Claudia Hoppe's work blends the precision of traditional goldsmithing with modern influences from design, sculpture, and installation art. Her bangles—defined by minimalist geometry and bold, luminous colours—are designed to contrast with the organic tones and forms of the human body. “Contrasts turn life into an adventure. My challenge is to discover and experience them through my work,” she says.

Her jewellery has been showcased in international exhibitions and galleries, earning her numerous awards and accolades.
